1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms govern access to Theory of Pi. By using the Service, you agree to them. Contact [email protected].
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13. For a student aged 13 through 17, a parent or legal guardian must complete the consent step at checkout and agree to these Terms on the student’s behalf.
3. Accounts
Provide accurate information, protect your credentials and tell us about unauthorized access.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Free and paid plans may be offered. Stripe processes recurring payments according to the plan and billing period shown at checkout. We offer a full refund within seven days of the first paid subscription charge. After seven days, payments are non-refundable. Cancellation stops future billing and takes effect at the end of the paid period; it does not refund prior charges, and paid access continues until that period ends.
5. Acceptable Use
Do not use the Service unlawfully, resell it, share credentials, evade limits, compromise security or generate harmful content. The licensed-material rights in section 7 prevail over restrictions on reuse in these Terms.
6. AI Tutor
AI responses may contain errors and are not professional advice. Treat them as a supplement to verified lesson content.
7. Educational Content
Except for material labelled with another licence, lessons and questions are for personal study and may not be republished or commercially redistributed. For material labelled with a Creative Commons or other third-party licence, that licence prevails over any restriction on licensed reuse in these Terms. You may redistribute, adapt and commercially reuse that material where its licence permits, including sharing it with people who have no subscription. Preserve the applicable licence conditions, including attribution, a licence link, notices of changes and ShareAlike where required. These permissions do not grant access to subscription services or rights to our application code, design, logos or trademarks.
8. User Content
You keep ownership of submissions and grant us permission to process them to provide the Service.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, design, code, content and marks belong to Theory of Pi or its licensors. The rights for labelled licensed material in section 7 prevail over restrictions on its licensed reuse.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided as available without warranties to the extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of Liability
Liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to cover claims arising from your violation of these Terms where permitted by law.
13. Termination
We may suspend access for violations. You may close your account and cancel your subscription.
14. Changes to Terms
Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before they take effect.
15. Governing Law
Quebec and applicable Canadian federal law govern these Terms; disputes are heard in Montreal, Quebec.
